Armação de Pêra sits in the central Algarve behind one of the longest unbroken stretches of sand in the region. Fishing boats are still drawn up on the beach at the old end of town, and the promenade runs west towards the cliffs. A short walk or boat ride away are the cove at Senhora da Rocha and the string of sea caves along the coast.
